On the opposite page we see the first six Presidents of the National Association of Rotary Clubs, headed by the first President and then the "International Association of Rotary Clubs" guided first by Glen Mead and followed by Russ, Frank, Allen and Arch.

A study of the seven years of leadership by these six men (Paul No.1 had 2 years) by a young Rotarian should convince him as to the worthwhileness of Rotary.

These men did not accept the honour of the Presidency and then drop out. They never lost interest. At least one of the six hopes to be at Lake Placid in NY and take a lively part in the Institute discussions.

We must be careful what we say about lawyers as our first three Presidents were "learned in the law"; then a lithographer, a college professor and a lumber dealer.

These six set a high standard for all succeeding Presidents to follow.
