      Joseph A. Caulder was engaged in the dairy business from 1909 until his retirement in 1952 as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Silverwood Western Dairies, Ltd., in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. After retirement, he continued to serve as a Director of that organization. He was born in Bristol, Quebec, Canada, and attended Morrisburg Collegiate Institute. He passed away in Toronto on September 27, 1971 and is buried in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

     Joe was a Past President of the National Dairy Council of Canada, the Western Canada Ice Cream Manufacturers  Saskatchewan Dairy Association. At one time represented Saskatchewan on the National Council of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. For several years, he was active on the Boards of Trade of Moose Jaw, Regina, and Toronto. He served as a Alderman of the City of Moose Jaw and he was a Past President of the Moose Jaw YMCA.

     A Rotarian from 1917 until his death in 1971, Joe was a member of the Rotary Clubs of Moose Jaw, Winnipeg, Regina, and Toronto, Canada, and served as President of the Rotary Club of Moose Jaw. He has served Rotary International as Director, District Governor and as committee chairman and member.
