Remembers

MAURICE DUPERREY

Maurice was President of R.I. in 1937-1938. He is the only President so far from the continent and it was a change to have a parisian French Gentleman at the head of R.I.

We visited with Maurice in Paris in 1949 and he was very kind. We attended the Paris Club together. Madam Duperrey had passed on during World War II when her beloved country was so devastated by the Germans.

Maurice is a fine French gentleman and in his own way, and with his charm, made a splendid contribution.
