This is a famous picture and it is not likely the group will ever sit down together for a lunch and a chat again. It was great to have Harry and Josephine Ruggles and Jessie Schiele and Jean Harris with us. Harry Ruggles was the 5th man to join Rotary and he started the custom of singing at our Rotary luncheons. On his 80th birthday he had returned to Chicago Club, No.1, all the way from his present home in California to see his old club in action and once more lead them in singing "Let me call you sweetheart!!. Mrs. Schiele could tell us about some of those early days in Rotary. Sylvester was, of course, one of the original four and there were times when Paul Harris was ready to give it all up, but Sylvester encouraged and helped him carry on. Now the graves of Paul and Sylvester are side by side in a Chicago cemetery.

Leonard Riddell and Eleanor are from Harrogate, England and Leonard is a past District Chairman. Then to have Jean Harris made the affair a real success. All who know her love her very much. She was by Paul's side almost from the start of Rotary and in her quiet way made a worthwhile contribution. George Harris, a past R. I. Director from Washington had, up to 1955, attended every convention of Rotary since Duluth in 1912 when the name National Association of Rotary Clubs was changed to International Association of Rotary Clubs.

The menu, signed by all present, should become a prized memento.
