Almon E. Roth Rotary's 20th President
Rotary Biography of ALMON E. ROTH San Francisco. California. U.S.A. President, Rotary International. 1930-31 Almon E. Roth is a member of the law firm of Roth and Bahrs in San Francisco, California. He was born in Crandon, South Dakota, and was graduated from Stanford University. Mr. Roth was a charter member of the Rotary Club of Palo Alto, California, which was organized in 1922. He is a Past President and an honorary member of that Club, and is now a member of the Rotary Club of San Francisco. He has served Rotary International as President (in 1930-31), Vice-President, District Governor, and as committee chairman and member. Mr. Roth has been Business Manager and Comptroller of Stanford University, and President of the Pacific American Shipowners Association, the Waterfront Employers Association of the Pacific Coast, the San Francisco Employers Council, and of the National Federation of American Shipping. He has served as Trustee of Stanford University, industry member of the National War Labor Board in Washington, D. C., industry delegate to the President's U.S.A. Labor-Management Conference in Washington, D.C., in 1945, and as an American representative at a number of international conferences.
